It is widely acknowledged that in recent years, prices in transport like travelling by train have increased considerably whilst salaries remain stable. This situation could provoke complications in the society in general but specially in commuters. In the following essay we will examine the probable causes and some measures that should be taken.
It is a well-known fact that nowadays many countries around the world have been experienced an economic crisis, which means an increase in the majority of the prices in means of transport. We could notice that the cost for some products which are essential for the train’s function, like fuels and electricy, grew in the previous decade due to the higher prices on the merchant and their scarcity in several places.
From my personal perspective, I would state that goverments and people related to transport’s businesses are the main responsibles to take measures in order to solve the problem. One form could it be through the controll of the tickets’ cost which people need for travelling by rail. In other words, an standar and reasonable price should be imposed for commuters so they could access to them. Furthermore, an improvement in terms of incomes should be performed.
From what has been discussed above, one can reach to conclude that the higher prices of rail travel could be owing to some difficulties related to countries’ economy that they have been suffering. I strongly believe that governments should determine the lowest price possible for the tickets and they should improve population’s salaries, so many people are able to travel by rails.
