Some people think that couples should live together before getting married to start knowing each other better and see if they are compatible. Others say that because of this tendency people become immoral and only deep emotional attachment makes a durable alliance. What is your opinion?

It is commonly considered by some that partners ought to dwell before the official ceremony to find out more about their partners and confirmed that they are congruent while some of us are convinced that couples are not allowed to live together before they get married. However, there is an increasing trends of cohabitation in order to develop understanding to each other and to test their compatibility in day-to-day routine. In my point of view, I completely disagree that living together without getting married because it damages the value of marriage which is the most responsible act uniting lives of two different people and leads to difficulties if the couples break up before their wedding. The downside of staying a shared house before becoming officially husband and wife is to make less of a commitment to each other and feel less content with their arrangement. As a result, people tend to involve themselves in immoral acts and become indulge in unethical activities. Lastly, in a relationship, emotional connection is one of the most important strengths for couples to have and it requires responsibilities as well. Having some level of attachment is healthy and normal in relationships, might help you feel safe, comfortable and happy. Without a strong emotional connection, relationship can easily drift apart. To sum up, I firmly believe that living together before getting married is not a good idea because not only married life would meet challenges but also the period of being partners who live in the same building and only the emotional attachment is a factor which ensures that relationship will be long-lasting.
