The presence of technology in the classroom has become more and more apparent, offering students a range of resources with which to supplement their studies. Given time, technology will completely replace the traditional teacher in the classroom. Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Technology is a useful resource to improve teaching and learning experience. Currently, the use of technology has become more significant in the classroom. However, I strongly disagree that technology will be able to replace teachers and I want to explain the reasons behind my disagreement in the following paragraphs. Firstly, interaction between teachers and students is still important. Communication in the classroom is the key to engage, motivate students to learn and to give students chances to ask questions and reach out for help if they struggle. In my opinion, it is impossible to use only technology to teach students if effective learning is the expected outcome. Therefore, technology wouldn’t be able to replace teachers in the classroom as it can’t create the learning atmosphere that teachers can. Secondly, technology prevents students from exploring science subjects where experiments and teachers’ explanations are crucial for students to understand the subject's content. Although technology can assist with simulations where students can see how experiments are done without doing it themselves, the level of understanding students have will definitely be different. As a result, teachers are still important in the education field of science and many others that explanation from teachers is still essential. Having discussed the reasons why technology wouldn’t be able to replace teachers, it is obvious that teachers still play a significant role in the field of education because they create interaction and a learning atmosphere in the classroom. However, technology is still useful for teachers to support lessons and provides students with valuable resources.
