The line graph illustrates the consumption of 3 kinds of spreads(Margarine, Low fat & reduced spreads, and Butter) between 1981 and 2007. 80knB
The line graph gives the information about the amount of three spreads ( margarine, low fat and reduced spreads and butter) consumed between 1981 and 2007. Unit is measured in grams. Overall, the consumption amount of butter and margarine decreased over a period of time, where the low fat and reduced spreads increased and reached its highest point in 2007. At the beginning of the period, butter was the most consumed spreads among others and then replaced by margarine in from 1991 to 2001, and following that low fat and reduced spreads became the most consumed spread in the last year. According to the graph, butter was the most favoured spread with the consumption at around 140 grams in 1981 and peaked a high of almost 160 grams in the next 5 years before significantly falling to around 50 grams. Consumption of margarine was about 90 grams in the first year whereas the line flactuated slightly afterwards and declined to 40 grams in 2007. By contrast, low fat and reduced spreads was consumed at just 10 grams in the first year, then dramitacally rose up and peaked a high of more than 80 grams in 2001. However, it declined gradually to 90 grams in the last year.
