The increased use of the messaging using mobile phones is largely to blame for the falling standards in written English, particularly among young people, many of whom are unable to construct grammatically correct sentences. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Language is the main tool that people use to communicate with other people in their society or across the world. English language is the most famous international language that people around the world used and learnt. Grammar is one of the main part in studying English; however, it is not need to use strict rules of English written in all writing such as chatting or messaging using mobile phone. Some people argue that the more using communication technologies the more decreasing standard of written English especially in children or adolescence. In my opinion, texting using mobile phone or other electronic devices should not be blamed as the things that mainly make the standards in written English fallen. It is sure that writing skill is very significant in English. The correctness of grammar can make document clearly and understandable. Moreover, the official documents always require the usage of strict rules of grammar such as subject-verb agreement, tense, or voice. Thus, every people has to learn and practice as much as possible in every texts. Especially when teaching the young people who didn’t have a strong knowledge and not familiar with grammar, the adults must teach them to learn by a correct example with good construction of sentence and paragraph. So that, they can improve their written work time by time in any essay or publications. On the other hand, using the text for messaging via mobile phones is not an official documents that required correct grammar in every single sentence. The objective of texting in social media is to make communication between people more convenient and easy to understand in their society. Hence, in distinctive social groups there are always have their own language that not align with the correct grammar. This changing will not change the core of language but it will make language still alive. The key thing that not make language extinct is the divergent in grammar and words. In conclusion, using mobile phone for messaging must not be blamed by any people as a thing that make English written standards falling in any range of age of people specially in young people. The children must be taught to aware of the written when they out of their electronic devices. It is the responsibility to all parents, caregivers, or teachers to guide them when they have to use a correct standard in any written document and young people need to learn by their own experiences to deal with the difference writing in official and nonofficial written document by their own. One day in the future the children can stand on their own feet to use a different range of standard written in various situations.
