Which would you choose: a high-paying job that you didn’t enjoy, or a lower-paying job that you did enjoy? Explain your reasoning, using specific reasons and examples.

Which would you choose: a high-paying job that you didn’t enjoy, or a lower-paying job that you did enjoy? Explain your reasoning, using specific reasons and examples. 0mljn
Choosing a high-paying job that you do not enjoy over a lower-paying job that you do enjoy or vice versa can be tricky these days. Usually, the first impulse is to go with the one that is going to offer better economic stability. However, from my point of view, it is always going to be more stable to get a job in something that you actually enjoy as you are going to be able to keep doing it longer in life. Accordingly, I will share some of the things I would consider in a situation like that in the following paragraphs. Nowadays, new generations are more focused on their mental health than any other thing. It is true that everything seems more accessible but each individual is free to adapt their view of a successful life to their own. When you work for a big corporation usually you are prioritizing others before you in exchange for a little more money in your pocket. Likewise, some people chose to put on hold their real needs or even cover them buying material stuff, in order to obtain a small joy from what they do in life. Besides, usually, these high-paying jobs came with great responsibilities that eat up your time and energy. As a consequence, all of this could be very stressful and overwhelming for one. Additionally, working is just one part of life. Having free time to do activities that you enjoy or events to socialize, which is also very important. In the same way, if you focus all your attention and energy on something that in the end you found pointless, eventually you are going to be frustrated. In the same way, when you spend your time doing what you enjoy, you will do a better job and this will show at the end, either to you or to your work team, or even clients. Finally, doing a lower-paying job that you enjoy could offer some flexibility. Sometimes you can explore multiple job positions and this gives you the opportunity to learn different skills from diverse work environments. This could be very positive as you can grow and get ahead of many and in the future get better compensation while still doing what you like. Also, when you do not have a big pressure on what you earn, you can decide if you want to travel or move to different places to try different jobs that you enjoy. In this way, you would be exploring not just in your career but in your personal life as well. Ultimately, the economy nowadays offers freedom at the same time that demands fewer expectations. Previous generations were able to get one stable job during most of their lives, and with that get everything they dream of. Currently, young people manage ways to earn enough money doing what they like in order to live decent while trying to escape from debts. In conclusion, lower-paying jobs that people enjoy are better options because they give you the opportunity to actually manage your life the way you want it. Hence, you can take care of your mental health avoiding stressful high demand jobs. Moreover, you have more flexibility and control over your career, which allows better time management that results in personal such as professional growth.
