It is clear that living with friends saw an upward trend and was always the highest while living with native people had an opposite trend.
In 1960s, there was 35% of students decided to stay together with friends. Then, the amount rose continously and reached 70% in 2000s. In the first 10 years, 35% chose to stay in dormitory. The figures fluctuated and peaked at 20% in 1970s and 1990s, then decreased a little to 13% in the end. Living with a local family was the decision of 35% of students in 1960s. However, the amount declined steadily and there was only 5% chose this type in 2000s. The number of students living in their own houses lasted for 15% in the beginning. After that, it started to go down to only 5% in 1980s. The percentage increased slightly by 1% in 1990s and jumped to 13% at the end of the period.
Overall, sharing houses with others had a sharp increase and became more and more popular year by year. In the other hands, the percentage of students living as a guest with a native family was less and less by the time.
