The graph below illustrates the way people process five types of tea leaves.
There are seven steps and each type of tea leaves has their own procession. All of them start with the growth of leaves and finish when they are all dried in the oven.
Firstly, leaves are grown by the farmers. After that, they pluck them from the trees. Finally, the leaves are withered. The first three steps are the same for five sorts of tea leaves.
In the next period, there will be some variations in the production. White tea is the only one that comes directly to the final step named oven drying while the rest need to take part in at least one step. The Green Tea is steamed and then rolled. Beside that, the Oolong Tea and Large Leaf Black Tea are rolled only. Instead of rolling, the Small Leaf Black Tea is crushed. Except the green tea, three types left have another step before completion. The Oolong Tea is fermented slightly and then dried in the oven. The Large and Small Leaf Black Tea also have the fermentation but they are fermented fully before put into the oven to dry.
