Internet news and newspapers

News are vital for our lives. It’s the way we’re connected to the world. Although internet is the main source of people to read the news, some people say newspaper is the most important source of news for majarity of people. In my view, internet is crucial source of news for 2 reasons. The main reason is that internet is up to date. Anything can read almost the moment it happens. For examle, when there is a live event that you want to know about but can’t be there, you can go online and find a website about it to feed yourself with the news. Also, finding the correct news that you’re looking for would take your couple of seconds only. However, this would be very hard to find on newspaper. First of all, phisical movement would be needed to get to the newspaper. In the world that we’re living right now, everything is on your fingertips and this requirement is a great downside of newspapers. Second, even when you get a newspaper on your hand, it’s hard to locate where if you’re looking to find a spesific one. As you can see, reading news online is a lot more easier and accessable than reading newspaper. The other reason is that, there is no limit to internet when it comes to space. It’s hard to write as detailed as possible unless it’s wanted to do so by the editor of newspaper. For instance, a journalist friend of mine once told me that he had to keep his writing short and simple in order to have it fit on the given space on newspaper. This was causing him to skip some part of the writing. Nonetheless, if he were writing online news, space wouldn’t be a problem at all because space is not limited when it comes to internet. This experience taught me that when you don’t have to worry about space, more accurate and detailed news can be provided. In some though some may oppose the idea, I believe internet is the crucial source of news. Not only it makes it easier to read but also generates minute to minute news. I believe internet news should be taken more seriously and given support in order to keep its freedom.
