The game that I enjoy the most

Humans require a balance between work and leisure to avoid mental fatigue. During our leisure time, we usually play games to entertain ourselves. Games can vary from role-playing to puzzles. For example, some of us play games such as crosswords in books and newspapers. My favourite game is Chess. I like Chess because it makes my brain think about all the possible moves and the consequences of them. Chess is a strategic game so playing it can make you better at planning and reading others' thoughts. Chess is played on a board with 8 horizontal tiles stretching across 8 vertical tiles. There are 6 types of chess pieces and 2 teams. Each team has 16 pieces, 8 pawns, 2 rooks, 2 knights, 2 bishops, a queen and a king. The goal of the game is to render the king inescapable from being captured, to checkmate the opponent. At the start of the round, white moves first, followed by black. Pawns can move 2 or 1 tile(s) on their first action. They can capture a square diagonally and can move a square in front. When they reach your opponent’s side of the chess board, they can be replaced with any piece, excluding the king and pawn. The knight is a piece which can avoid obstructions in its path. It moves a tile horizontally and 2 tiles vertically, in an ‘L’ symbol. When only there are only a king and 1 or 2 knight(s) left The bishop is a piece which can move diagonally, and it is slightly less valuable than the rook as it is harder to use in a trap. The rook is a very valuable piece which can be moved vertically and horizontally. It is very valuable because it only requires 2 pieces that move horizontally and vertically to checkmate. The queen is the most valuable piece because it can move diagonally, horizontally and vertically. The king can only move a square horizontally, vertically and diagonally. In my opinion, Chess helps us see hidden baits and the ways to escape them. There are also many ways to win the battlefield. For example, controlling the center squares will make sure that your enemy cannot advance towards your king. It is a valuable and fun game which can teach you to think deeply.
