The diagaram illustrates some ideas that were proposed to chage the Foster Road.
Overall the proposals suggest a pedestrian friendly and green area instead of the excisting car centered avanue. This would not only mean a road crossing possibility, but also an island for the passers-by to so that they can wait for the wehicles in a safe habitat.
With regard to the pontential changes, two line of trees would be planted in both sides of the road, while a crosswalk would be introduced as well. Moreover the already excisting four lanes would be replaced with only two, hence less pollution would be caused by cars. In addition the planners also suggest an island between the lanes for the pedestrians crossing the road. In addition bicycle laned would be built next to the pavement, subsequently the cyclists could travel in a safe manner.
These changes would make the surrounding area significantly safer for walking and cycling, while cutting down the emission levels caused by the wehicles.
