The diagram illustrates the floor plan of a central library over a period of 20 years ago and provides a data of its look nowadays.
Overall, as can be seen from the diagram, the floor plan went through significant changes, beginning with the changes in the sections and ending with the addition of café, self service machines, information desk, and many more.
First of all, the upper right corner of the floor which was devoted to CD’s, videos, and computer games transformed into the Children’s fiction books section. Computer room, in addition, also changed its location, and nowadays, it can be seen on the lower right corner of the library.
Adult fiction books section which was located on the West side, has been moved to the East side of the library, and can be seen right in the middle of the room, along with the information desk, and self service machines next to it.
Secondly, there can be seen an addition of the new room on the upper left corner. Instead of children’s books section, there is a lecture room. Furthermore, the lower left side of the library, which was used as an enquiry desk, where people could buy tickets, return some books, and etc. , is now turned into the café. Besides that, tables, along with chairs were completely removed from the entrance era.
