The dark cloud of student debt

Student loan are taken out to be used in education expenses and many of young educated Americans are in debt. There are discussion weather the government should help people pay back their student loans or not. I believe forgiving student debt have more disadvantages than advantages. Some people in a Facebook group like Cancel Student Loan Debt to Stimulate the Economy created by an attorney Robert Applebaum thinks forgiving student loan debt will increase the economy. This means they believe middle class Americans will spend more money as their student loan are pay off and government will have more money for better economy. However, not everyone thinks it that way as the debt are too much. Brian Kumnick argues about how all lenders would be compensated. Critics also say it is great if students loan are pay off but how can a government afford all the money to help all the people in the country who are in student loan debt. Therefore, forgiving student loans seems impossible because of who will pay is unknown. Instead, there should be better options like school providing more scholarship to students or funding website to help student loans debt.
