The pie chart represents the proportion of poor women in terms of their relationship and family status while the bar chart shows poverty amongst children, men, and women as per their age group.
Overall, we can see that there are more poor women than men. Majority of them belonging under the age of five years and 18 to 24 years.
As shown in the pie chart, over half of the women living in poor poor conditions were single and had no dependent children. Single women with dependent children accounted for one-fourth of the total poverty while married females with no children came last with only 8%.
According to the bar chart, it is obvious that as people age the poverty level decreases. The highest number of poor people belong to under the age of 5 to 24 years group with most of them being girls and women. Whereas, from 35 years to 74 years of age the poverty level is relatively low with average 8% poor men and 10% poor women. Above 75 years of age, the poverty gap doubled
