The illustrated figure describes the SOUTHWEST Airport architecture and map of current airport and redevelopment plan has been proposed in order to make some changes in the current parts of the airport.
Currently, the airport is having 8 gates in order to enter inside the airport, from gate 1 to 4 there is a walkway for the passengers in order to enter inside the security passport control checks which needs to be followed before proceeding for departure. Once passengers complete their security checks, they can proceed into the cafeterias in order to wait for their departure, once timeline ends they can check in to the check in counter for their respective flights and can move forwards towards the departure area.
Similarly, for the passengers that are going arrive from the flights, they will have to take the arrival gate in order proceed for the passport control customs, after completing their formalities, they can exit from gate no 8 to 5.
Proposed plan after redevelopment of the airport will have 18 gates in total in order to proceed for departure and arrivals. in between to these gates the middle area will have sky trains to enter inside the airport. Gate number 1 to 9 are used for departure entrance. Once passenger enter inside these gates, they will find shops in between before going to the security passport control. Once they complete their security checks, they can wait in cafeteria and meanwhile period they can do self-check in baggage check in before moving towards the departure gate, departure gate will have two exits in order to proceed towards the aeroplane.
Similarly, for the passengers arriving from the arrival gate will also have 2 entrance arrival gate, and once they enter inside the arrival gate, they will be in cafeteria area where they can find facilities car hire, ATM. After spending some time here, passengers can move towards the passport control custom and after completing formalities they can proceed toward the exit gates from 10 to 18 and wait for their cars.
In conclusion, the redeveloped airport will have more area and space as well as lots of facilities than the old compact airport. New developed part will provide passengers with smooth in and out experience as well as larger areas which was not there in older map.
