The bar charts illustrate what the graduates of business and engineering departments of a university were doing half-a-year after their graduation over the period of two years. Overall, both the business and engineering graduates seem to be employed in highest percentage in both the years, with engineering graduates seeking work more in comparison to the business graduates. Around 65% business graduates were doing jobs in the first year after their graduation which increased a bit to around 68% the next year, whereas the number choosing to further study and seeking work decreased from 28% to 35% and from 4% to 2%, in those 2 years, respectively. However, the percentage of business graduates who took time out maintained about the same level in the two consecutive years. The highest percentage of engineering graduates (78%) were hired in the 2nd year, rising from 75% in the previous year, in contrast to the percentage seeking work, stepping a little up, from 10% to 11%. Further study percentage for engineering graduates took a fall from 12% in the 1st year to 8% in the 2nd, while those taking time out after graduation remained stable at 4% throughout the 2 years, as it was for the business graduates as well.
