The charts below illustrate the number of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them in childhood and the number of who speak a French regional to their own children in terms of 5 logical languages: Alsatian, Occitan, Breton, Creole, and Corsican.
As can be seen from the charts, Alsatian, Occitan have the same number by 600 thousands of adults who spoken habitually and they follow by Breton, creole, and Corsican respectively. However, Occitan increased and have the highest amount of adults that spoken this language occasionally, although, Alsatian significantly declined to 300 thousand and Breton, creole, and Corsican in order respectively.
In the following, the below chart which shows the number of adults who speak regional language to their own children, Alsatian have the highest number of adults and Occitan, Breton, creole, and Corsican are in order by 250, 100, 90, and 70 respectively.
