If you research the question of why I think that why Pericles funeral oration is great, because his oration is a father of other oration, I have read Lincoln oration they are same however Pericles oration includes more data along with, there two aspects which mostly inspired me namely about others oration, for what they are fighting besides this, about mighty Athen. One advantage of oration is that Pericles draws attention to the speech of other who spoke before. In his oration he says that that their exploits should not be described by one individual. I totally agree with this statement person should not speak on behalf of those who participated upon the field of battle for the reason that they were not there, they did not see, feel, scare, together with they did not lose their comrades. In my opinion human who speaks about their honor, pain, valor just abuses their graves. On the other hand Pericles says for what their soldiers died. In the beginning of funeral oration he paid tribute to ancestors, especially for their contribution in the past. Furthermore, in that time (507 BC) aristocratic system dominated in most countries, however Pericle proudly spoke about Athenian democracy, technology which they achieved, residents who live freely and has own opinion, the victories they reach finally the wealth that they have together with, he says that "our government does not copy our neighbors, but is an example to them", showing by this that they are not inferior to other countries.
