In majority of universities learners focus on specific subjects, however some consider that universities must motivate learners to learn a great range of subjects. To what extent to you agree or disagree with this.

Undoubtedly, tertiary education is an important aspect of a student's life, and majorly, a number of universities give preference to important subject. However, a segment of society opine that they should encourage scholars to study a variety of topics to gain vast knowledge, which I do not reinforce. My viewpoint with relevant examples is discussed in forthcoming paragraphs. There are numerous reasons which satiate my opinion. The first and foremost is that learning a specific topic gives more clarification of the interest they are up to. For instance, if one is doing nursing, so it is wise to pick up courses related to them to stay focused. To elaborate, every course need deliberate determination and hard work, and learner should try themselves to keep themselves into this information which would result beneficial for their future. In other words, ranges of different disciplines might overburden the pupils or can also create some sort of confusion or may results to be time-consuming. To be more precise, those who enrolled for certain programs like computer science or biology, it is impractical to force them to acquire knowledge of unrelated syllabus like statistics or physics. This is because, it can deviate them from their original desire, and they might face trouble to cope up with weighty syllabus which eventually decrease their productivity and performance. To sum up, the given notion is not that essential to be encouraged unless scholars are willing. Ergo, universities should try to provide the best sources to them whatever they are learning.
