The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-time Indian

The book is about a boy named Arnold Spirit Junior, but hes nickname is Junior. Junior is american - indian and lives in the rez. Junior was born with a condition so he has water on his brain, the condition makes his head look really big. Junior has two best friends Oscar and Rowdy, Oscar is the family dog and Rowdy is a family friend. But Oscar has sadly passed away in the book due to sickness and beacuse his family was poor they couldnt afford medecin. Rowdy is or was Juniors best friend and is a tough boy. Rowdy is often at Juniors house and spends time with Juniors family and this is beacuse Rowdys family is abusive. If Junior gets in trouble Rowdy always stick up for him. Later in the book you gonna find out that Junior gets suspenden from his school, and thats beacuse he finds a geometry book with his mothers name in it. So without thinking he throws it at his Mr. P and break his nose. After the accident Mr. P comes to Arnolds house and suggest arnold to leave the rex and go to a public school. Arnold take the advice an tell his parents, they both think its a grate idea. But when Arnold tells Rowdy about the news Rowdy gets really mad and punch him in the face ant the two become enemies. Arnold then starts at Reagan High School, where he fast get picked on by a guy named Roger. Arnold is a smart kid but he meets a guy name Gordy, Arnold think Gordy is the smartest ever. They become friends and Gordy teach Arnold a bunch of stuff. Later he even meets a really cute blonde girl named Penelope, they dont meet in a good way. Arnold hear puking sounds from the toilet and goes in the check if the person is okay but the person puked was Penelope. Arnold and penelope become close friends fast, they even go to the winter dance togheter. After a whle they even become girlfirend and boyfriend. In the book we also finds out that Junior is struggling a bit, that he has lost many people due som kind of alcohol. He even lost his sister in a trailer fire and this broke him, but after a while he learnt to cope with it by making lists. At the school he even starts to play basketball and meets his enemis in a final game, and the book ends with Rowdy and Arnold playing one o one.
