The Youth and it meaning and how to have a wonderful youth

As we have just started our college life while enjoying fantastic activities and courses on campus, many of us may have the intention to explore what a meaningful youth should be like. At the very beginning of this speech, please allow me to get to the point with a quote from the book ‘How the Steel Was Tempered’ - ’a person's life should be spent in this way: when he looks back, he should not waste his time and regret, nor should he be ashamed of doing nothing. ’ From where I am sitting, I can’t agree more with this saying. As youths, we have to grab every second in our lives to improve our capabilities and contribute to the development of humanity with our expertise; only in this way can we have a truly wonderful youth. Youth is meant to struggle. As people always say, we are the most energetic and creative generation. Hence, we have to take advantage of our strengths. Human life only once, every second of our life is precious, and youth is even more priceless. We college students should race against time and go all out to concentrate on studying since professional knowledge is a critical path to success. No pains, no gains, I am thoroughly convinced that we will eventually attain academic excellence. Youth lies in dedication. A life without contribution to society is incomplete, a youth paid for the country is the youth of real significance. As the generation witnessing the rapid development of our country, we are shouldering more responsibilities than before since the state is facing an increasing number of challenges. Only by having a strong country can we be respected internationally. As a matter of fact, we have to always put our national interests first, and devote our youth to building our motherland. When I think of the future society will be different because of our efforts, I am extremely enthusiastic and more motivated to work harder. Youth is a kinda faith. Chairman Xi Jinping once said, ‘The stronger the youth, the stronger the country. ’ Without faith, our youth will be like being lost in the ocean, therefore, we should establish lofty ideals and firm beliefs in order to make us stronger. However, only ideals without action, ideals will only become daydreams. Instead, it is vital to take practical actions to realize our ideals.
