Comparing the both ted-talks a guide to believing in yourself by Catherine Reitman and the rarest commodity is leadership without ego by Bob Davids. The topics and the speakers are totally different, their body language, and the topics they talked about, but they also have some similar methods.
In Catherine Reitman’s ted-talk “a guide to believing in yourself” the speaker seemed very passionate and excited, she kept moving through the stage and talking in a non-formal way, that made it seem like she was talking to her friends and family. Catherine Reitman’s body language was off the chart as if she was nervous but confident in the words she spoke; But in Bob Davids’s ted-talk “The rarest commodity is leadership without ego” it felt like he knew a lot about the topic, he was very comfortable talking about it even set visual examples to the audience, however, he had a poor body language he barely moved from his chair or even move his hands.
The speakers are completely the opposite in body language as Catherine Reitman’s ted- talk was full of live and jokes but, she kept waiting for the audience’s reaction and was she giving the audience an advance that they should take, unlike Bob Davids where his ted- talk was serious and to the point he did not wait for the audience to react he just spoke with confidence like if he was informing them of something to do.
Bob Davids have set examples from his real life talking about how he mange to get this idea or the topic, and the reason for his success just like Catherine Reitman she managed to inform the audience of her life story that made her accomplish such a success, she also set examples based on famous people just like Bob Davids.
To conclude, both speakers spoke about important topics, but their oral communication is totally different based on body langue, topic, and their methods are similar in delivering the message to the audience.
