Nowadays, sports converted into commerce. One group of people supports that, rising prize money for athletes and giving sponsorship from the organizations will be favorable for the sports world, while other groups of people disagreed. In my opinion, I support the latter view rather than the first view, and this essay will discuss both perspectives in the following paragraphs with a concluding view.
On the one side, there are a plethora of firms available that finance sports players to enhance their business, and through that, many teenagers and adults get motivated and encourage to make their careers in the sports field by seeing them on media. For instance, the Indian cricket management system organizes IPL every year in which cricketers play the cricket match for money. Top businessmen purchase cricketers for their team and their team plays with great enthusiasm, and because of the money they get forced to do their best in a match, and by seeing hard work of them, other people get motivated too.
On the other hand, some people believe that advertising sportsmen on tv and funding money to the player can affect the sports industry very badly. These days, gambling is increasing greatly, and for a win, players tend to do whatever is required which will impact the sports world. For example, many organizations sponsor the money to the player to win the game, and due to that, they use drugs that help them to stay strong, but it is not good for their health as well as their fans. Also, when that information comes out to the public, people will get demotivated and they never believe in sports again. So this is not good for the sports industry
To conclude, even though there are several merits for the sports industry to sponsor players, it has ample demerits which should be taken into the consideration.
