I believe parents should choose according to the situation of the family On one hand, there are several reasons given by people who advocate sending their children at an early age. Firstly, children who start off early have more chances of succeeding in the future. Such children get a head start in learning, which definitely gives them an advantage in their later school years. Secondly, if children remain at home till the age of seven years, they waste their time in unproductive activities. Whereas, in school they are purposefully engaged in activities which would stimulate their minds. On the other hand, the main reason given by those who say children should start their school life at age of seven is that playing and communicating with the parents is a very vital part. Childhood comes once in life and should be spent as much as possible with parents. Also, in their early life children need more exercise, because at this age the development of their body is a essential aspect. The added pressure of homework and school stifles the growth of many. As it is, there are many years of schooling for children even if they start at seven. In my opinion, if the families are nuclear and both parents are working and can’t stay at home to look after their children. It’s better to send them to school rather than leaving the child under the care of a nanny. If one of the parent can stay at home to look after their child, I would advise to start their schooling late would be a better option. To conclude, both approaches have their own merits.
