Education plays an essential role for people’s life and mindset. On one hand, people believe that education is the tool for their future to be part of a society, while others argue that education is the step-stone for people to accomplish their personal goals. In this essay, I will discuss both views and present my point of view. Taking a formal academic class becomes one of the main parts in people’s life to learn and gain various kinds of knowledge that will be applied in society in the future. Society can be changed by high-level educated people from the theories and materials they have learned from the schools. For example, researchers can apply their experiments to solve societies' problems. Many others, however, believe that the aim of education is for pursuing individuals’ dreams in their life. People will work extensively hard and put their passion in order to achieve their goals and to be the person they have dreamt of. Becoming a higher level of manager or head officer a company, for instance, needs an excellent educational background to meet its qualifications. As a result, people tend to choose education that match with their personal preference of the field they want to pursue than the academic background that is urgently needed by the society. In conclusion, in my opinion, taking academic school is an important way to pave our dreams and ambitions. Moreover, it can be beneficial to the public by improving individual human resources of the community.
