Planning infrastructure for urban areas is an controversial issue in this contemporary era. It is thought by many that building houses instead of public parks are more effective to diminish the time taken by people to travel from home to work. However, others argue that the above notion is wrong. This essay will further discuss both the sides of argument in detail and will also explain that why gardens are absolutely necessary in city centre.
On the one side, there are many reasons to support the statement in against of parks. Chiefly, the predominant factor which contributes towards this thinking is that it would save a lot of time especially for employees who live far away from the work because having flats near to job location will not only helps workers to do the job efficiently but also strengthen the family relations. For instance, it is generally seen that individuals who have their workplace near home are happier than those who live far away from their job areas. Therefore, establishing more apartments in City Centre is certainly a good idea.
On the other side, parks plays an important role for local gatherings as well as for Children and old aged people. Fundamentally, the main cause of eradicating gardens is for communal meetings because it give a chance to explore others and their culture. Further, individuals can spend quality time in park especially kids and older generation which would aid them to polish their interest and create happiness. For example, according to the survey conducted by BBC which revealed that 7 out of 10 children explore themselves while playing in the park which assist them to know their interest. Overall, public gardens are extremely essential indeed.
To conclude, without a doubt, it is totally convenient to replace parks with apartments. Nevertheless, the social cost of developing houses rather than gardens is indeed so huge to neglect. Therefore, I personally believe that in highly rushed cities parks are must for locals to meet and cross-cultural diversion.
