Some people think that it is good for a country’s culture to broadcast foreign films and TV shows. Others, however, think it is best to produce local films and shows. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

People have different views about whether it is better for a country to purchase foreign films or create domestic ones. While importing movies from other countries can have some advantages, I would argue that broadcasting national shows is a better option. On the one hand, it is argued by some that it is good for airing foreign films. Firstly, there are more movie brands that lasted for long time. For example, films from Hollywood are always come with high quality and got much encouragements from televiewers. Moreover, when watching films from different countries, audiences have opportunity to learn from many kind of cultures in effective ways. On the other hand, I believe that it is better for country to produce domestically movies for a host of reasons. The first one is that we can preserve the traditions and custom cultures. For instance, Vietnam have many traditional art form so through Vietnamese films, young generations can widen their knowledge and proud of it. Another reason for broadcast local programs is the film industry often create jobs for talent people such as directors, actors and cameramans. Therefore, it is necessary for invest in producing movies in order to provide more employment opportunities for local people. And when investing in domestic film industry, films with higher quality will be produced and they can even compare to worldwide film products. In conclusion, while purchasing foreign movies is beneficial for a nation’s culture to some extent, it seems to me that making local ones is much better choice.
