Some people believe that it is necessary for governments to preserve the ancient buildings by reconstructing them. While this may work to a certain extent, I would argue that there are feasible measures to deal with it.
On the one hand, it is understandable why a lot of people want to preserve it due to the fact that it has a lot of meaning on both the historical and spiritual side. Each artwork tells us numerous stories that are hard to come by in today's society. That is why antique structures are so valuable to us. However, nothing can resist the power of time.
In the context of the developing world, everything is changing day by day and the old things also increase exponentially, which means there are a lot of buildings that governments need to rebuild and it may cost a lot of money. Therefore, many developing countries choose to not repair them because they have other important priority to focus on, such as health, education, and so on. Moreover, it seems to be dangerous because some of the buildings are run down and nobody knows whenever it will collapse. If that situation happened, the damage for the citizens could be unpredictable.
To sum up, it would be wonderful if the conventional building could be preserved, but this does not imply that we should trade off our own safety.
