Some people say that economic growth is necessary to reduce the poverty in the world. Others say that economic growth should be stopped immediately to stop damaging the environment. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

The topic of economic growth is always under debate. There are few people who believe economic development helps to overcome problem of poverty in the world, while others oppose it and strictly in favour to stop the growth, in order to protect the environment. I am more inclined toward the first opinion and this esaay I shall dicuss both views and state my opinion. On one hand, economic progress is necessary in order to decrease poverty in the world. With industrialization, nowadays, economy has improved in all over world, because it provide a great amount of employment to people. So that skilled as well as nonskilled workers get an opportunity to work and earn good money which eventually leads to develop a good economy. For instance, various multinational companies, provide jobs to degree-holders as well as illiterates according to their ability and work experience. Thus increased jobs offer a good work and salary to individuals and it helps the nation by improving wealth. On other hand, though with development of various machinary, it make hu man's life convenient, it also damage the environment. There are lot of machinary in various industries that create distinct pollution and it is hazardous for environment. By looking at an example of factory which make papers, they have to cut many trees and it result in increasing problems of habitats. However, papers are also one of important thing our life. So it is inevitable too, that we develop wealth at a cost of environment. In my view, various steps in order to boost up economy, though it damage the environment, there are many inportant benefits from it to mankind. So, I disagree with the notion of economic progress should be restricted.
