Some people have the notion that homework should not be given to the school children by their teachers while others prefer to think that in the education of children homework plays a crucial role. It is important to admit that both views have their own merits. In this essay, I will discuss the possible reasons that bolster each view and the benefits they bring to the society. On the one hand, the option to think that school children should not be given homework by their teachers has its advantages for many convincing reasons. Most importantly, kids require physical activity to stay fit. The perfect example to illustrate this is the school timings are long and as they have study hours if homework is given for the them then they might not find adequate time to play due to which there will be a lack in the physical activity eventually children cannot stay healthy. Another key reason is participation in extra-curricular activities. A good example is children cannot get to indulge in extra-curricular activities due to competition among their peers which will have a direct impact on their mental health. On the other hand, despite the above argument, other people choose to believe that homework plays a vital role in the education of kids has also its upsides for obvious reasons. Firstly, children spend extra time on studies subsequently, will be more focused. A good interpretation of this is when kids are given homework, they tend to complete it and there will a scope for the children to rectify their mistakes. Secondly, better understand the lessons due to practice. The best example is children get a chance to revise things with respect to the lessons that have been taught in the school as result they become familiar with the topics and will get a gist of it.
