Some governments provide financial assistance for retired, unemployed and disabled citizens. In other countries, families provide support for these people. Discuss both systems and give your opinion about which one you think is better.

Some governments provide financial assistance for retired, unemployed and disabled citizens. In other countries, families provide support for these people. NWD8N
Today different nations have their own but unlike ways to assist their financially weak populations. In several countries, their respective authorities support these senior, job-less and physically challenged citizens, however in some part of the world their own families take care of their expenses. This essay will discuss both the scenarios and provide a logical explanation of why the Governments should look after these economically weak-masses. To begin with the government aided facilities, for retired people, they provide subsidies over their daily needs and provide pensions. This help them to manage their own expenses even after they are not in a condition to work. Secondly, several employment schemes help the people who do not have jobs. For example, in India the ruling body implies many low-interest bank loans to encourage these people for small scale start-ups. Finally, for the physically disabled ones, reservations for job-posting are provided by the government in every field. For example, one-third of the seats are reserved for handicapped applicants for central services. In contrast to this, families support them in accordance to their level of finance. Today almost every house has one or two old adults, they are provided regular health check-ups by their families as they might not have any earning source to spend on this. In addition to this, many families have young qualified adults who are not able work for a living. They are supported morally and are allowed to try of a different alternative for income. Lastly, the guardian of the physically unable person motivates them to overcome this barrier by allowing them to co-operate in the family businesses so that they do not feel themselves as a financial burden over the family. However, in my opinion the government could do better in order to help these economically less strong populations. For example, more old age homes should be constructed for the people above 60 years old, who might be abandoned by their own families, so that they can live at this stage in a good and supportive atmosphere. Another method to help the idle population could be to provide more cost effective business ideas and financial expertise to grow that business. For example, free business coaching programs could be arranged in every locality. Nevertheless the people who are physically exceptional can be provide relatively less costly healthcare facilities so that they can manage their expenditures. For instance, the medications and pharmaceuticals should be offered at a lower price than usual. To conclude, although, there are various ways in which the authority and care takers help their old age, job-less and disabled people, in my opinion the government can help them economically as they have more efficient methods to apply throughout the country. Thus, this people can feel the sense of satisfaction and independence in their worst phase of life.
