Some people prefer to be nocturnal during exam days and go through the entire syllabus in the last few days, whereas others have regular habits, studying a little every day. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of both studying patterns and choose which one is a better way of action according to you.

Students have various learning habits which they modify according to their requirements and comfort. During examinations, some people prefer to wait until the last days to complete entire course, especially during the nights, whereas others study in advance, at least few hours every day, during day or night according to their requirements.
One reason I believe it is better to study well in advance, and not wait until the last day, is that one has more opportunities to clear any doubts that may appear, be it with teachers or classmates, especially if one chooses to study during the daytime. Also, when one starts to study anticipation of coming exams, one has more time to assimilate information, and thus more chances of succeeding in exams. On the other hand, if one starts to study only few days before the exam and during the nights, one has lesser opportunities to clear out doubts. Furthermore, sometimes, studying at night is not as successful as studying during the daytime because one gets completely exhausted after a hectic work day and may not be able to grasp things clearly.
Also, there are certain subjects which require regular practice and studying a night before exams becomes useless in those subjects. For example, someone has a Math exam and if one learns all the formulas a night before, then he/she may not be able to apply those formulas to relevant problems as it requires lot of practice to get the concepts correct.
In conclusion, I strongly feel that studying a little everyday has more advantages than doing the contrary.
