Should our School have Field Trips?

Field Trip Field trips are an amazing way to take a break from months in the classroom. Most of the time, by going on a field trip, students get physically active. Being physically active is good, and more fun than sitting in the classroom. I know that you are trying to save money. But field trips have multiple reasons for why you should not cancel them, some being benefits to us. Below are reasons why you should not cancel the field trips. As I already said, field trips give our brains a break. We may have recess, but that’s only for a short time everyday. Research shows that brain breaks reduce stress. Breaks also keeps our brains healthy. If you overwork your brain, you might not be able to solve an obvious question because you’ve been thinking for too long. Do you want that to happen to us? Again, some field trips require moving around. Moving around is much more healthy for our body and brain than sitting in one spot for more than an hour. Basically, field trips refresh our minds. Just because you are refreshing your minds doesn’t mean you can’t learn. It doesn’t mean we can’t do science, art, and etc. By going on field trips, you can learn plenty of things. In fact, statistics show that students that go on more field trips get better grades. We might just have a better future if we go on field trips. Some field trips increase students’ observation skills. The students have to use the 5 senses for activities that require them. If it is art class, for example we might go on a field trip to a certain building to study it and how it was built, which is art, math, and science altogether. Or go to a lake to see what is inside of the lake. That is much more exciting than being in the classroom. This is my point: Field trips are fun and educational, and because it is fun, students like me will pay more attention, which will make us smarter. If it is fun, more people will like it. It is good for us to know what job we would like to have so we can strive for it early on. Striving for it early on can be good because we have more chances to become it. You can let us go to, again, a building to see how to build it. If people don’t like it or think that it is hard, then they might decide they don’t want a job as an architect. If people do like it or think that it isn’t hard, they might want to have a job as an architect. You can let us go to a lake to let us boat and fish. Again, if people don’t like it or think it is too hard, then they might decide they don’t want a job as a fisher, and vice versa. Since they have worked for the same job for a long period of time, they will probably have less trouble on how to do that job.
