Should a single person be allowed to adopt a child?”

Being single in our society has become common and normal. For some people instead of having a marriage, it is better to stay single. Today, modern life is complicated already and it is hard to predict what could happen tomorrow. And maybe staying single could prevent certain issues, like separations and divorces that could lead to struggling and suffering for the whole family. First of all, for some single people, it is impossible to become pregnant because of some health problems. Moreover, the gay and lesbian people obviously cannot have children. The above reasons are obstacles for some desiring a child so they should be allowed to adopt children. Second of all, many people cannot commit to a relationship and do not want to get married. They want to be free and independent and not get married. That is why we have so many single people who, nevertheless, want to have a child and desire to have someone to take care of, to give their love to, and teach and share their life experience with their child. Third, many people have put their careers before marriage until they are older, only to find that they have reached forty without a husband or a wife but with a desire for a child. Therefore, adoption becomes a possible option for single people. And, at the same time, a great many abandoned children, because their parents of them are experienced with drugs and alcohol. These children need to be loved and cared for. Therefore, if a single person has a great sense of responsibility, really wants to have a child, and can make kid happy and raise child as a good citizen human being, he or she should be given this chance and be allowed to adopt children.
