Before establishing Shiny Diamond Lighting, Hong Kong resident Pris Fong had a close call last week when climbing Manaslu mountain. The ankle is badly sprained during the climb. She flown to Kathmandu hospital by helicopter, incredible view of Manaslu as she left. She made this sketch of what the icy peak looked like in the sun. Recovering after her rescue, Ms Fong believe that experience has given her inspiration to start her own company and even the company name.
Though Ms Fong had the thought to start the company during her recovery in 1980, she knew that she was yet to be enough mature for making neon arts. Thus, she went to learn from Rick Lao, the chief designer and neon artist Rick Lai for 6 months of training. After that she was founded Shiny Diamond Lighting. The growth of our company was unprecedented, from 1990 to 2022, our number of staff increased from 14 to 65. While our profit increased from 20 to 214 million in 32 years. In 2021, we had the pleasure to receive the 2021 Neon Award. We are ranked 2nd among a lot of ‘Asia’s top 5 Largest Lighting Companies’ in this year. We are proud of that.
It is hope that the inspiring story of Shiny Diamond Lighting will make more customers support us.
