How I involve for community

I get involved many activities for my community. Firstly, I would like to talk about the activities that I have done and still doing right now. Actually, I have a busy life between my study and house tasks. But I believe that helping my community is something that I should always make time for. I help my community by volunteering, donating and organising free classes. I participate in teaching volunteering activities. By doing this, I get the opportunity to meet other people, make new friends and get experiences from different options. Having social contact with others while volunteering can relieve stress and also put me in a good mood. Being in a social setting can help combat feelings of loneliness and depression. It also helps me to improve my social skill. Next thing is donating unwanted clothes and foods. I donate my extra clothes and outgoing clothes to poor people. Sometimes, I earn my money on hand and donate foods to elderly people. What's more, I clean up my neighborhood. Everyday, I pick up trash and do some yard work. I make my area more pleasant place to live. I consider that even small acts of kindness can make a huge difference. Among the activities that I've done, a problem I attempted to address was about education. I used to teach my neighborhood children from primary state schools. When I taught that, I found that three out of five children liked memorization technique based on repetition in math problems. They always tried to memorize all of the process in every math problems. Whenever they took test, they always got high marks in math and they thought memorization based on repetition is the right way to get high marks. In Myanmat state school, rote learning based on repetition is the solution to its current educational problem yet it keeps students from being proactive and motivated learners and creative thinkers. There's a lack of knowledge, skills and expertise for developing teachers. Experiental learning and one-on-one metoring with expert teachers are luxuries that country cannot efford. Today, Myanmar lags far behind the developed world in terms of educational standards. The education system at the school level is so terrible because of the untrained teacher, low investment in education, facilitator and leaders. I realised it until high standard and I convinced more when I taught my students that our country"Myanmar" education system gets worse and worse. So I decided to change the perspectives of my students. I made them try math problems with same process but with different symbols. In reality, most of them didn't know how to work out the answer because of symbols. That's the point I wanted to explain them. Gradually, I tried to talk them around and they never tried to learn math problems by rote. My efforts were absolutely successful. I overcome the challenges in researching the way to make them know their wrong ways. Actually, this is not because of their fault. I experienced a lot from this problem. I realised that I need to learn better educational theories systematically and if so that, I can share my students and my community. Thus I want to attend in asia-pacific university and learn more about education to reuse for my community and for the future of my country.
