set an one hour limti for electronic devisec usage of children below 13 oGVgB
In today’s world, thanks to the advancement of technology, it is very common to see children using electronic devices for many purposes, such as gaming, or doing schoolwork. When it comes to amount of time they spend on those activities, I believe parents should set a limit of one hour per a day for non-school usage of those devices for many reasons, among which avoiding damages to their concentration level and their becoming less sociable are the most conspicuous ones to speak of. To begin with, excessive usage of electronic devices can be devastating for the focus of children, so they should use them as little as possible. As for mental side effects of that matter, the more time they are focused on that screens, the more their concentration span to shorten. It is scientifically proved that nowadays’ primary schoolers do not have the concentration that is needed to learn their lessons in the school. That is the reason why in some countries, authorities decided to hold classes shorter so as to improve the efficiency of learning as students lose focus during the class owing to the fact that they use to play games by their devices, in which a series of events take place in a short period of time with high level of excitement. Conversely, the process of learning subjects like mathematics needs a significant amount of time and patience, and as a result, they become distracted from what they are learning because of their habit of spending too much on their electronic devices. Another reason for setting a limit for their leisure time with the devices is that unlimited usage may result in having less sociable society members in the future. Psychologically speaking, people learn how to interact with each other by practicing it. Moreover, when humans are younger they are more able to learn these characteristics as their character have not formed yet. With this in mind, the importance of sicoalizing in kids cannot be overstated. On the other hand, when they spend most of their time in school or doing their home work, they have a restricted amount of time to dedicate to their families. If they can use their electronic devices as much as they want, they lose the great opportunity to communicate with their family members, and more importantly, to observe how they socialize with each other, consequently they will not learn how to do it in their future life. To sum up, It is necessary to set an one hour limit to the usage of electronic devices for children below 13 as not only does it make them less anti-social grown ups, but they can also enjoy a better concentration in their life.
