Same global language in the future

For-and-against essay „Global language in the future “ A number of scientists believe that mankind around the globe will communicate by one language in the future. According to me, this may bring great benefits to society and provide more business opportunities. However, it can have its drawbacks on individual nations and cultures. Firstly, speaking the same language will remove communication barriers. Consequently, there will be less discrimination against individuals, who have inferior linguistic skills. For example, people from places with poor education system can find themselves socially isolated as they are unable to communicate with masses and don’t have possibility study or build a business in foreign countries of their choice. On the other hand, it is widely acknowledged that having common language globally can have adverse impact on our society. Countries around the world have their own customs and traditional values related to their history. Hence using one mother tongue can eliminate various cultures and unique identities among nations affecting tourism. In addition, valuable information written in native language will be lost due to the fact of future generation will no longer be able to translate it. To conclude, although choosing the same language to communicate makes huge step for mankind’s development, I believe that we should not annihilate our history and protect it for future.
