In modern society, humans have embraced co-existence in that they are ready and willing to stay and interact amongst themselves. This has made them settle and work together. In daily endeavors humans have learnt how to respect and live with others in different settings. This making them being referred to as social beings. In the employment sector, salary is what motivates workers to appreciate what they do. this helps them accomplish and strive for the success of the organization. Different skills and tasks vary on the level of difficulty, other tasks may be simple and others may be hard. This also affects the colleagues work performance since there is a certain way in which tasks are handled. Hence, a some positions in the employment sector have been set aside for workers whose jobs require more effort and skills. The wages in the sector also helps them work with a lot of passion and eagerness. Paying everyone in a company the same amount of money is both demeaning and lack of consideration to those who put a lot of effort doing their tasks. Some organizations appreciate and support people in higher positions by paying them better. Since, the responsibilities different people perfume towards coming to meet an organizations mission is different depending on what other employees in different positions are fulfilling. To illustrate more, a manager and a receptionist should not earn the same since, the manager has a lot of responsibilities to handle that might affect the overall image of an organization. However, a receptionist may only deal with customer service. Therefore, it would be demeaning to the manager if they were paid the same as the receptionist. Skills however should be considered. This is because, some workers are skilled at what they do, maybe due to experience or their personal effort. The organization should consider this and reward them according to how skilled workers in the organization are. Professionals should earn more than what a beginner should be earning because of the experience and skill sets both of them bring and contribute to that organization. Education background is crucial in determining how certain employees will be paid. Workers with renown and outstanding educational backgrounds should be put aside and earn more. Since, they will contribute much more judging on the institutions they studied at and their academic qualifications and achievements. This will produce competent and skilled workers who love what they do and motivated to meet an organization’s mission and vision. Workers should be appreciated for the time of hours they work either in a day or a week. Cumulative work hours should be a factor of consideration when it comes to drafting payrolls and salaries. Workers who spend most of their time working deserve the extra credit. This motivates them and helps them appreciate their work and what they do. The difference in salaries creates a job market difference. Law of supply and Demand, the higher the demand, the higher the cost and the lower the supply. Different positions in a company vary on the law of supply and demand. The need of certain positions in a company also depend on how the employee is paid. If the organization is not meeting the demands of the employee they have a right to change the environment and look for where their efforts are being appreciated The cost of living is slowly and gradually taking a notch higher. Therefore, companies should consider their geographical location and the economical status of the neighborhood. Assuming city A’s Cost of living is higher than that of City B a company has openings for the same position. The salary the company in City A has to offer should be higher than that of city B. Yet both positions have similar roles and responsibilities.
