The given table illustrates proportion of consumer expenditure on various items on different five nations, namely Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey in 2002. A cursory glance at the table is enough to make it clear that Turkish people spent the most amount of food/ drinks/tobacco among all countries. Overall, in Turkey, Although percentage of food/drinks/tobacco and leisure/education were the highest proportion among all the given nations, percentage of spending on clothing/footwear were the most quantity in Italy. Turkish people spent the most food, drinks and tobacco with 32, 14 percent whereas people who live in Sweden spent the least amount of food and beverage with 15, 77 percent. Also, in Sweden, there was the least percentage of clothing/footwear with 5, 40 percent. In İtaly, there was the highest spending of clothing/footwear with 9 %. As is presented in the table, spending on percentage of leisure/education had the least percent in all countries. People who live in Spain had the minimum spending percent of leisure and education activity with 1, 98 while there was the highest amount with 4, 35 % in Turkey.
