For some people, it is necessary for parents and adult relatives to make crucial decisions for their children, particularly ages 15 to 18 year-old. I totally agree with this statement as teenagers are inexperienced and impulsive while their parents and adult kin are knowledgeable and experienced to orient them on the right track.
To begin with, teenage children often lack experience and are not consistent enough to make life-changing decisions. Due to being immature, juveniles don’t have much knowledge about adult lives and are incapable to understand the consequences of taking wrong decisions. Sometimes they are too confident and make snap decisions without their parents’ opinions. Moreover, their decisions are often influenced by others like their friends, peers, or idols. For instance, teenagers tend to enroll in the college that their friends register for. Obviously, this has numerous negative effects on their future. A bad move could make the children involve massive risks.
On the other hand, parents and adult guardians are good advisors. They have experienced a lot of pivotal moments and have made several tough decisions. They have knowledge of many aspects of life. Additionally, parents understand their kids more than everyone else. Parents know their offspring’s talent and interests. Therefore, they have the best orientations for them. To be specific, our parents have gone through schooling so they have experience in choosing university along with having our best interest in mind, they know almost exactly what institution is appropriate for us. Ultimately, when parents make decisions for their children it helps the child grow in a healthy lifestyle and go on the right path.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that parents and adult relatives should help older teenagers take vital decisions because the youth do not have as much experience and consistency as their parents. Children should also learn decision-making skills but not in important decisions that might change their life completely.
