Give yourself a star when you achieve a goal. To stretch and strengthen your core muscles, you can do some strength training such as stomach crunches, leg lifts, or taking the stairs. There are many other ways to exercise in and outside the home. We can stand on one foot for as long as we can, cleaning the house provides good exercise for every member of the family. Gardening also provides opportunities to move the body. Moreover, house managers enjoy doing their housework with music. Many retired people take up team sports by playing badminton, meeting new people. Some retired ladies go to the park near their homes and play with the children. Young children can climb up monkey bars and use swings and see-saws. Finally, we may choose to buy a gym membership. TASK 2 Passage 1: A pamphlet, published by Galileo Galilei in 1610, describes astronomical observations made in the sky of Padua. Compared with the beginner telescopes sold today, the magnification and resolution of his homemade telescope were lower.
