By investing in tourism we can earn a lot of revenue and growth in national economy. At the same time it destroys the local culture. What is your opinion?

It is true that tourism adds on to the national economy. When people come from the other countries, they use our resources and pay in their currency. This increases the business of the locals and government get an addition in their treasure. There are two ways of seeing and perceive a situation. The positive aspect shows it is not destroying the culture but shows the intermingling of two cultures. Let us take an example of The Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. Many tourists come here to visit the holy place, they wear the traditional attire and pray like any other Punjabi. In my opinion they are not destroying but embracing the culture. Another example is of tourists who get attracted towards the temple of the Lord Krishna and become a devotee and chanted the name of the God with the locals. If I talk about the negative aspect. I want to take an example of my country, where most of the people think that foreigners will spoil our culture because they will wear short dresses, drink and smoke in open, consume drugs which is not at all good for our young generation, as they follow their footsteps. They will leave their culture and adopt the culture of the foreigners. They will forget our vernacular, hymns and our culture will vanish one day. To conclude the topic, I believe preserving our culture is in our hands. Blaming the tourists who are our guests is ridiculous. If someone tries to copy them, is their fault because no one can force you to drink, smoke or take drugs. These are the locals who are destroying their own culture by scribbling on the walls of the heritage, spit on the road, litter here and there. Tourists who are coming to visit a country, come with a purpose to explore it's culture and heritage and not to destroy it.
