This problem can be solved by rising tax on personal automobiles and improving public transportation facility. Hike in the price of cars and bikes have been seen, after increasing tax on private vehicle. This leads to decrease in sales of automobile because people could not afford it. Due to this reason individual found travelling through public transport would be more cheaper than owning personal car or bike. Consecutively, drop in the congestion was seen in the town during morning and evening hours. Australia head experience 65% decrease in traffic after implementing high taxes on private cars and bikes. Poor Public Transportation system is a reason, which influences local residents of city to use their on vehicle. Congestion can be improved by providing special Lane for city bus, Development of underground Metro connecting major parts of the city, Building flyover at every cross section in city where high traffic density is observed. Government should highly influence local transportation through taxis and rickshaws for travelling small distance. For example, city name Surat is also called as city of flyover. Road and transportation department of Surat have reported smooth flow of traffic in majority area of city, where they constructed flyovers. In conclusion, decrease in number of cars and bikes was observed by increasing taxes. At the same time, improving public transportation facility along with better infrastructure, eventually leads to reduction in congestion.
