One of the most challenge problems in modern society is to have the most up-to-date skills for workplace. For solving this, government decides to give all adults over the age of 25 a training course to learn new skills. Do you think it is an effective way for government to spend its money?

Governments and organizations are in immense need to adapt to changes in this modern world, they would lug behind otherwise. To do so, entities need powerful manpower to roll out their plans, and adults are the best bet for them to invest in. I think this way for two reasons which I will explore in the following paragraphs. To begin with, adults can absorb new information as fast as possible and save budget and time. While investing money, one of the most paramount factors that investors confine their attention to is the amount of time and budget they should spend to get the desired result. Adults can learn new stuff with a lower budget and time since their comprehension is higher than other groups of societies such as children and elderlies. My personal experience is compelling evidence of this. I have been working in the Ministry of Tax of our country since 2010. In 2011, a new taxation system that required fresh graduates with speedy comprehensive abilities was introduced by one of the developed countries to the world and it was completely novel and necessary for countries to adapt to this change and supplant their outdated taxation systems with the new one. Our government holds a one-month workshop for me and my colleagues. We learned how to use that system in just 20 days and saved a colossal amount of money for the state since we achieved the target faster than we had to reach. Hardly would it possible to could have learned how to use the system if the training had been given to the aged people in our ministry. Additionally, providing training sessions, to name but a few, workshops, seminars, and courses, to adults can have a long-lasting result. Since adults are fresh-minded individuals with a high capacity to acquire new skills and preserve the newly learned abilities in the long run. That is why choosing adults as trainees to teach them novel things is preferred. Take my previous example as an instance. After learning the new taxation system, I still remember that complex system even after 11 years and there is no need for the government to train us for the second time as long as I and my colleagues who had been trained are working in the mentioned ministry. I am pretty sure we can run the system for another 20 years if needed. If the government had trained its employees other than adults, it would have been impossible to run the system now. To sum up, I subscribe to the idea that it is efficient for the governments to train adults for having updated skills. This is because, adults can absorb new information quickly and save budget, and also they can remember what they have learned for a long time.
