Music is one of the oldest forms of art, it has been around for centuries. Some people believe that we can bring many people of varying cultures and ages together using music. In this essay I will explain why I agree with this statement. To begin, some people find this statement completely wrong. Firstly, because some people of different cultures do not speak the same language. So it will be hard for people to understand the lyrics of the song they are listening to, thus it will be more difficult to feel connected with each other. Furthermore, people have different tastes in music and this difference grows bigger by increasing the age difference between the listeners. As older people tend to like classical music, while the younger generation enjoys hiphop more and the reason behind that is the fact that older people grew up listening to classical music, unlike the younger generation who grew up listening to hiphop. On the other hand, some argue that music is the sound of the souls trying to communicate with each other. So no matter the cultural differences and the language barriers, people will be able to understand music and its flow, because music is not made for a group of people, no it is made for the whole world to to share and enjoy. In addition, music was not made by someone, no it was with us from the very first generations of man, and it has come a long way and remained as one of the most appreciated forms of art throughout history. As we listened to it during our happy moments or sad events or even when we were confused. Finaly, not everyone needs to like the same songs and that is why there is this huge number of music genres, in order to allow everyone to have at least one song that they like. To sum it up, I completely agree that music can act as a bridge, connecting people of different cultures and ages together.
