More and more measures to improve the security in large urban areas have been introduced in many countries because of the increased crime. Do the benefits of these measures outweigh the drawbacks.

It cannot be denied that, many standards to stronger the security system in cities have been introduced globally. As a result of rise in crime rate. If asked, my opinion is that, it is largely helpful. My inclination is justified further. Examining my opinion, the strongest benifit of improvement in security system results in worldwide decrease in rape cases. Many reports have given data on, freedom of working till late night is increased. Women feel safe with stronger security system. For example camera installation at every signal point, police petrolling till late night and secured public transport. Moreover, the rules and regulations are being strictly followed by government officials. The criminals have been punished for their crimes. Which has a great impact on the others that crime is not a good option. Like, government has increased the number of courts and judges. On the contrary, there are some drawbacks of increased security system. To begin with, government have increased their budget for security, which can be used for the nation development. Like crime rates can be decrease by rising awareness, inspite increasing the security. To conclude, there are both merits and demerits of improvement of security in cities. However, I believe that developing security in urban areas is more advantageous because safety is the primary need of people of any nation.
