There is a controversial question of planning for the future - is it worth carrying for long distance for both countries and individuals? On the one hand, I'm abolutely sure, that it is imposible for countries not carrry about a future. All of the institutes and regulatory bodies were created for carrying about the future of all citizens of any country on the planet Earth. Have an attentive look on the examples of poor strategic thinking: the USSR before 2nd World War. The nation in general and all of state's bodies were not prepared for military aggresion of the Third Reich, that lead to enormous human sacrifice first years of the conflict. Another example is the Crimean war of Russian Empire with coalition of Osman Empire, France and the UK. Poor technical equpment of russian army lead to national tragedy of defeat and enormous loss of lifes. On the other hand, I belive, that for emotional safety regualr citizens and just people like you and me should not forget about their personal future plans, but concentrate more on the present. This idea is widely supported by different coaches and sycologists as Dale Carnegie, for example. Many of business guru teach people be consistent and disciplined every day, taking the necessary steps to achieve long-term goals, instead of day by day hovering in the clouds and thinking about the future for which nothing is done. Even Bible teach people concentrate on current situation in life, be involved in day-to-day activity and doesn't worry about the future that we do not know, but build this future with our daily activities. One way or another, I truly belive that every person choose its own way of bahavior for the life and carry about the future to the extent it wants. But if you government enjoys the present more that carrying about the future of citizens, be carefull to plan for the future.
