The food travels thousands of miles from fram to consumar. Some people think it would be better to our envirnment end economy if people only ate only locally produced food. What extent do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Nowadays, suparmarket has a verity of food which they order from other country. Some people believe that, if people eat only a local food therefore it is better for envirnment and economy. In my opinion, people can try new vagetable and fruits, unfortunatly it is not good for envirnment and also local culture because they cannot try local food. On the one hand, people can try different type of fruits and vagatables which cannot grow in their local area. Moreover, it can get employment because when other country export this product than farmar can help them and they sale that product in market and they get a good money. For example, Coco fruit cannot grow in India, but people can try a Coco powder and also chocolete because it came from Africa. On the other hand, it is not good for local farmar and also local economy because when people cannot show their interest in local food then they cannot get good money. For example, there are many place in the world where tredistional food is not liked because people cannot try that. Furthermore, this type of product came from thousand of mile by truck, air and sea therefore it increases pollustion and it harm our environment. In conclusion, people should buy their local product because it is important for local economy and environment, and it is true they cannot try other countries fruits and vagatables but we can protect out local tredision.
