Many people use distance-learning programmes ( study material, post, TV, the Internet, etc.) to study at home, but some people think that it cannot bring the same benefits of attending college or university. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?

In our modern world, due to technological progress, a large number of students have a tendency to use online platforms to study at home because of its convenience and availability. In contrast, others believe that learning at an institute is more essential and highly effective. I agree with both views. In my opinion, every method has its own pros and cons.
Apparently, the online platform has played a more important role in the education system. Especially with the outbreak of COVID 19, which totally prevents students from going to school or educational institutions. Therefore, online learning is chosen as the best way to keep up with the curriculum as well as avoid spreading viruses. Thanks to the advanced technology, students have the opportunities to accumulate and widen their knowledge, without being limited to textbooks, or even develop their self-study abilities. However, the biggest drawback of this way of learning is its lower efficiency. Lack of face-to-face interaction is an obstacle for students in taking in the lectures.
Direct learning, opposed to the online one, is much more effective. Because it allows people to participate with the professors in the class, in case there is an individual who has difficulty in that subject, he or she can ask the question immediately with the teachers. Another reason for attending classes in college is that students can have a chance to join up teamwork activities, which creates an exhilarating environment, stimulates students' eagerness to learn. However, as a result of COVID -19 pandemic, this method is infeasible.
In conclusion, both of these two learning methods have their own pros and cons, it depends on the flexibility of the learners to find out the most suitable way for themselves.
